Baked Fish cake, an idea from a restaurant!
Cooking time Approximately 20minutes LEVEL☆★★★★
Ingredient
2 Kamaboko (Fish cake)
10 slices of uncured ham
Pizza cheese (A small amount)
Parmesan cheese (A small amount)
About 2 large spoonful of olive oil
Salt and Pepper (A small amount)
Ajinomoto (A small amount)
How to make
- Cut the fish ever 1㎝, and make a set by using 2 of them.
- Cover each pair with a slice of uncured ham
- Put a small amount of pizza cheese on each of them.
- Put a small amount of Parmesan cheese on each of them.
- Put in 2 large spoonful of olive oil and heat the pan.
- Put on the 10 fishcakes on the pan to bake them for about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle some salt and pepper and Ajinomoto.
- Turn off the heat and out a lid on the pan to use the remaining heat.
Point in check
Make sure the height of the fish cake is about the same. Rap the fish cake with uncured ham tightly, to make sure it won’t move. Since the boiling point of the olive oil is low, put the fish cake on the pan when the pan is already hot. Make sure not to burn the fish cake. Melt the cheese by putting a lid on the pan to use the remaining heat. I didn’t wait until the cheese completely melts. The taste of the cheese and uncured ham is more significant than the taste of the fish cake.
Personal Comments
Originally, a similar dish was made by using a type of fish cake called Naruto at a Ramen place as a side order. Although I arranged it a little. The heating power of the stove for home use and professional use is different. Therefor I paid attention to make it sure not to burn the fish cake. Also, I wanted to use the heat of the pan by putting a lid on it. If the heating power is strong, the cheese will melt but the fish cake will burn. Because the saltiness of the uncured ham was quite high, I thought I didn’t have to use salt and pepper.
